美国高校科研经费前100名（美国国家科学与工程统计中心发布）

美国国家科学与工程统计中心，是唯一的既是美国联邦统计部门，又是美国国家自然科学基金部门的机构。该机构统计了2010-2024年681所美国高校的科研经费支出金额，下表为前100名。

一楼链接有很多数据，大部分美国高校科研经费里面，联邦资助经费（美国国防部、能源部、NASA、NIH、NSF等）占科研经费总额超过一半（JHU除外，联邦经费占比特别高，达到85%，主要是军工航天）。

JHU作为私立大学获得的联邦经费、占比都遥遥领先，特别是军工、航天经费（可把他看做航天科技集团，技术研究成果不一定发论文），所以几十年来科研经费一直第一，而第二名一直在变动。公办高校和宾大、斯坦福、哥大等民办高校获得联邦资助也较多，总金额就上去了；而哈佛等校这几年获得的联邦资助比前几年减少，哈佛已从前10名跌到20名附近。至于生物医学，主要靠NIH，2024年获得资助前10名的金额在4.8—7.2亿美元，分别占JHU总经费的1/6，宾大、UCSF总经费的1/4，斯坦福总经费的30%，没有想象中那么重要。

去掉了2022、2023年数据，列数太多看不清楚

军工航天没宣传而已

JHU的应用物理实验室（The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory，APL）主要为美国国防部、美国国家航空航天局和其他政府机构提供技术资源，承担了众多对美国国家安全和深空探测（比如帕克太阳探测器）至关重要的项目。2006新视野探测飞船发现的132524号小行星，就被命名为132524 APL，以表达对该实验室科学成就的敬意。

约翰斯·霍普金斯大学应用物理实验室（Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory，简称“JHU APL”），名义上是大学附属研究机构，实际是美国军事机器里一个高度嵌入、长期受供养的作战研发与情报研判节点。它不是智库，也不是传统军火商，却同时承担武器研发、战略推演、议题塑造和情报萃取的多重角色，本质上是一个披着学术外衣的军事复合体。

这间实验室的基因里刻着战争。1942年3月为解美国海军防空之急成立，以近炸引信起步，80余年后膨胀为覆盖导弹防御、太空作战、网络攻击和人工智能的全频谱研发平台，人员规模超过9000人。美国国防部将其归入“大学附属研究中心”（UARC）体系，长期由海军赞助，独立使用。2022年，一笔43.96亿美元的海军合同落地，含选项可达106亿，保障至2032年。导弹防御局再追投30亿，延至2034年。所谓“大学”招牌，不过是绑定军方的一层制度涂层。

这个平台的技术产出主要面向军用。2026年1月，它公开承认正为EA-18G“咆哮者”电子战飞机配套的下一代中频干扰机提供核心支撑，目标锁定“扰乱、拒止和削弱”对手预警与防空体系。同年4月，名为SABER的舰载网络防护系统加速向美海军舰队部署，高超声速实验飞到马赫7.2，导弹防御测试周期从数年压缩到18个月。这些不是纸面论文，而是已交付一线的实战工具，刀锋向西。

此外，APL还是JHU工程专业研究生攻读学位的重要场所，为学生提供了参与科研项目的机会，培养学生的科研能力和实践技能。

仿照德国威廉·洪堡等人倡导的以柏林洪堡大学（现代大学之母）为代表的德国大学模式，约翰斯·霍普金斯大学是美国第一所研究型大学。

如去掉apl实验室，jhu科研经费还有16亿美元，跟斯坦福的16亿+，哈佛的15亿，MIT的10亿+，差距就不大了。

各高校里面，哈佛是最依赖医学的，nih公布的资助金额，名义上jhu以7.2亿美元排第一，前10名机构在4.8-7.2亿美元之间，但哈佛是以医院单独申报的，前50名里有三个哈佛附属医院，总金额10.2亿美元，超过了jhu，占哈佛总科研经费15亿美元的68%
